Sandusky, OH . . . Fans of the Toledo Walleye Hockey Club, Bowling Green Falcons sports teams and the Toledo Bullfrogs Football Club will be enjoying Toft’s Ice Cream at all the teams home games. New multi-year agreements recently completed have added three sports partnerships to Toft’s existing sponsorships with Cedar Point, The Toledo Zoo and Toledo Mud Hens.
“We’ve been supplying ice cream to BGSU for years”, said Toft’s President Eugene Meisler, “to dorms and food service facilities. Our new affiliation with Falcon Sports Properties was the next logical step in our long-term relationship.” Cal Bowers, Falcon Sports Properties General Manager, sees Toft’s sponsorship as feathers – albeit Falcon feathers – in BG sports teams’ hats. “Serving our fans the number one regional brand of ice cream enhances their total experience. It’s a win-win situation,” Bowers said.
Neil Neukam, Assistant General Manager, Corporate Partnerships for the Walleye, Bullfrogs and Toledo Mud Hens, predicts the nine years of accumulated Toft’s Ice Cream branding at the Hens’ Fifth Third Field will translate to the new Lucas County Sports Arena in general, and to the Walleye and Bullfrogs teams in particular. Neukam said: “Toft’s Strikeout Player of the Game (Each time the designated visiting player strikes out, Hens fans who scream the best for Toft’s ice cream get free Toft’s delivered to their seats) continues to be one of the Hens most popular in-game features. I am confident our (Toft’s and Mud Hens) successes at the ball park played a major role in expanding our relationship.”
Toft Dairy is the only locally/family owned and operated dairy on Lake Erie between Cleveland and Toledo, and the oldest operating dairy in the state. Toft’s delivers products to over 200 schools plus 1,500 wholesale and retail customers. The company purchases its milk - free of synthetic growth hormones - from 22 local family dairy farms, all members of the Sandusky Cooperative Milk Producers Association.
